Widely expected to be one of the worst teams in the NHL this season, the Ducks get their first win of the season in game three. Anaheim started their season with a 5-2 loss to the Golden Knights, a 2-1 loss in overtime to Vegas, and now a 1-0 win against the vaunted Minnesota Wild. Despite being outshot by almost 10 a game and going 0% on the power play thus far, clearly the trajectory is in the Ducks’ favor. I project a 2-0 win on Wednesday against the Wild on their way to a 54-1-1 record and the top spot out of the Honda West Division.
Thank god for John Gibson. Stopping 30 pucks a game and still already has a shut out.
